How much is a storage unit in Blackpool?
It depends mainly on size. A small locker for a few boxes costs a few pounds a week. A business-sized unit you can work in costs more: ours run from £65 a week for 150 sq ft to £130 a week for 300 sq ft.

The short answer
Storage in Blackpool ranges from small lockers advertised at under £10 a week to large units costing well over £100 a week. The price you pay comes down to four things: how much floor space you rent, when you can get to it, what is included, and how long you commit for.
Our prices
Rent is based on floor area, so every unit works out at the same rate per square foot.
| Unit | Per week | Per calendar month | Per sq ft per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 sq ft | £65 | about £282 | £22.53 |
| 160 sq ft | £69 | £299 | £22.43 |
| 180 sq ft | £78 | £338 | £22.53 |
| 300 sq ft | £130 | about £563 | £22.53 |
Monthly figures use the weekly price × 52 ÷ 12 and are rounded. Prices are subject to availability.
How much should you expect to pay?
The fairest way to compare storage is the price per square foot per year, because weekly prices for different sizes are hard to compare directly. Work it out as the weekly price × 52 ÷ the size in sq ft. Smaller spaces often cost more per square foot than larger ones, because the cost of the door, the corridor and the security is shared over less floor.
Then check what the price includes. A unit with lighting, power, Wi-Fi and round-the-clock access is worth more to a business than an empty space you can only reach in office hours.
Costs to check before you sign
- Introductory discounts. A half-price offer usually ends after a set number of weeks. Ask what the price will be after that.
- Weekly, four-weekly or monthly billing. Four-weekly billing means 13 payments a year, not 12.
- Deposits and fees. Ask about deposits, admin fees and whether you have to buy a padlock.
- Insurance. Ask whether you need to arrange cover for your goods and what it costs.
- Electricity. If you need power, ask whether it is available and how it is charged.
- Minimum term and notice. A cheap rate on a long contract can cost more than a higher rate you can leave.
Our terms, for comparison: one month's rent in advance, a deposit of one month's rent, electricity at the supplier's rate with no markup, free Wi-Fi, a one-month minimum and one month's notice. Full prices and terms.
Who is the cheapest?
If you are looking for cheap storage in Blackpool, start by being clear about what you need. The cheapest storage is the smallest space that fits what you need, at a price that still holds once any offer ends. For a household with a few boxes, a small locker will usually win on price. For a business that needs to get to its stock every day, pack orders or work on site, the cheapest option is often the one that saves the most time, even if the weekly rent is higher. We do not claim to be the cheapest in Blackpool. We aim to be clear about what you get for the price.
